Knowing what have been put in place, what we are doing and what we need to do in terms of ICT is a major concern, or our plan of action.
In the department we all have devices given to us by the Ministry of Education and/or the Ministry of Information. The classrooms are all equipped with 20 desktop computers, one whiteboard, projector, printer and remote control.
We have as our own, two speaker systems, and two interactive whiteboards. Only one board though is installed.
Since the installment of the board the staff has been requesting an interactive whiteboard training. Therefore our first priority area to work on in terms of ICT training is having an in house interactive whiteboard training by yours truly and one other staff member.
We had no ICT Policy, therefore we are working on a first draft and look forward to editing it to have a complete and final Policy being implemented before the end of the year.
